Target seems to think the PS4 is getting a $50 price drop here in the US, according to a new advertisement on their website.
The retailer’s “Video Games” page is currently heralding a new $349.99 price for the PlayStation 4, as seen below. The sudden announcement comes ahead of any kind of official word from Sony themselves.
Target currently has no PS4 consoles listed at the advertised $349.99, though they do offer multiple $399 bundles that come with a $50 Target gift card. Strangely enough, the Uncharted Collection bundle pictured in the announcement is listed for the regular $399, and comes with no gift card deal.
Though a new price has yet to be confirmed, the recently announced drop for Japan, this month’s Paris Games Week, and a looming holiday season all suggest the console may soon see its first ever price reduction since the PS4’s November 2013 launch.
