Square Enix has today announced that the third and final installment of Life is Strange: Before the Storm will be available on Dec. 20 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Called “Hell is Empty”, a new launch trailer tees up the drama.
Life is Strange was originally released as an episodic series by Square Enix back in 2015. The game tells the story of a photography student named Max Caulfield who must save her town using her newfound powers, which allow her to manipulate time. The critically acclaimed series has since seen the release of a spinoff series called Before the Storm. Before the Storm is a prequel to the original game and explores the character of Chloe Price.
A new trailer for the game gives fans a sneak peek at the conclusion of the series. From what we can tell, it certainly looks like there are plenty of twists and turns yet to come, and no doubt a lot of very difficult choices for players to ponder. The original series consisted of five episodes but there are only three for Before the Storm. It will be interesting to see how the series concludes and how it connects with the first series.
