Monster Hunter: World Will Be Getting New Monsters Thanks to Free Updates Post-Launch

Monster Hunter is all about slaying huge, scary monsters with friends or by yourself (if you’re brave). Even though Monster Hunter: World is taking a more streamlined approach for new players to jump in, there is still no shortage of difficulty or monsters to find in this new iteration of the series.

In an interview with Famitsu via Gematsu, Ryozo Tsujimoto (producer) talked about plans for post-launch updates for Monster Hunter: World and confirmed that new monsters will be coming:

“We are thinking about free, post-launch updates for Monster Hunter: World. What I can specifically say is that we plan to new monsters and such in hopes that users play for a long time. As for what kind of monsters will be added and so on, information will be shared later on, so please look forward to it.”

Monster Hunter: World is set to launch worldwide on Jan. 26, 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. There is currently a free beta for the game available only on PS4 that lets you play a few missions by yourself or with other players online; In order to download the beta, you must be a PS Plus subscriber.
