Death Stranding for PS4 Finally Gets New Trailer and Release Date
Today Kojima Productions finally presented a brand new trailer of the upcoming game Death Stranding.
The video showcases more of Sam Porter’s adventures as he explores impervious landscapes and meets rather unsettling characters.
We get to see him riding a motorbike and utilizing tools for traversal like a ladder that can be extended and a rope alongside a climbing anchor for rappelling.
The video also shows a look at combat and what appears to be stealth gameplay. Apparently, Sam’s adventures aren’t as peaceful as some may have believed.
Everything is nicely topped by “Path” performed by Finnish symphonic metal band Apocalyptica, and we also see the reveal of a few new faces among the cast.
Of course, we also get what most have been waiting for, in the form of a release date for PS4 on November 8, 2019.
The PlayStation Blog also posted a message from Hideo Kojima himself:
“People have created “Walls” and become accustomed to living in isolation.
“Death Stranding” is a completely new type of action game, where the goal of the player is to reconnect isolated cities and a fragmented society. It is created so that all elements, including the story and gameplay, are bound together by the theme of the “Strand” or connection.
As Sam Porter Bridges, you will attempt to bridge the divides in society, and in doing create new bonds or “Strands” with other players around the globe. Through your experience playing the game, I hope you’ll come to understand the true importance of forging connections with others.”

Recently, Hideo Kojima himself talked extensively about the creation of the game at Tribeca Film Festival, while he also made a few comments on the state of development a few weeks ago.
