.Hack Developer CyberConnect2 Shows Off Recently-Opened Montreal Studio

Today CyberConnect2 released a new video showcasing a studio tour of its recently-opened location in Montreal, Canada.

The studio was founded in 2017, bringing the number of CyberConnect2 teams up to three besides the studios in Fukuoka and Tokyo.

The video is presented by the developer’s vulcanic President Hiroshi Matsuyama.

We get to take a look at the offices and we learn that the fifty developers on staff are encouraged to learn Japanese via lesson provided by the company. They can even learn a bit of Japanese culture via a rich library of manga, projections of the latest anime series, and weekly onigiri parties.

Matsuyama-san concludes the tour by promising to release more interesting and amusing games, manga, and anime.

Fairly recently, the studio released .hack//G.U. Last Recode in November 2017 for Bandai Namco. They’re currently at work on several independent games including Fuga on the Battlefield, Tokyo Ogre Gate, and Cecile.

Normally, they also work on larger projects for publishers, but we don’t know what’s cooking on that front for the moment.

Hopefully we’ll hear more about CyberConnect2’s plans for the future soon enough, but for now, you can watch the video below and enjoy a look at the studio.
