A new post on the Official PlayStation Blog has revealed that the N. Sane Trilogy was also the most downloaded PS4 game of July, being closely followed by Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor and God of War III Remastered. The top 10 are as follows:

  1. Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
  2. Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor
  3. God of War III Remastered
  4. Friday the 13th: The Game
  5. Rocket League
  6. Grand Theft Auto V
  7. Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition
  8. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered
  9. Ratchet and Clank
  10. EA Sports UFC 2

The blog post also revealed that the top three downloaded PS3 games were The Last of Us, God of War: Ascension, and the God of War Collection. The top downloaded PS VR games were Superhot VR, Arizona Sunshine, and PlayStation VR Worlds. The post also included stats for the top PS4 add-ons, top PS Vita games, and top PS Classics games.

It seems that, despite only being available on the PlayStation 4, Crash has managed to do exceptionally well. There are rumors abound that the success of the remake will prompt Activision to release an entirely new Crash Bandicoot game. There has also been speculation that the game may also be coming to the Xbox One, though nothing has been confirmed.
