Destiny 2’s big gameplay reveal happened today, and Bungie shared plenty of new details about the upcoming sequel. One thing that the team has really tried to focus on is providing even more content for players to partake in while exploring the worlds of Destiny 2. Because of this a few new things are going to be added to the experience.

Treasure Maps are one new option, leading to valuable treasure if you can find it. Adventures are given by characters out in the world of Destiny 2, and they involve brand new side missions filled with bits of story. Each one is filled with new mechanics and encounters, and a valuable reward for completing it. These Adventure characters will also mark your map with Lost Sectors, mysterious abandoned dungeons filled with a cache of treasure and a boss who holds the key to it. Of course there’s still patrols, ambient encounters, chests and more returning from the previous game.

To make everything easier Destiny 2 bring a couple of streamlined elements. A new map makes it easier to search for what you want, whether that’s Patrols, Adventures, Lost Sectors or anything else. You can also now launch any of the game’s activities or proceed to another planet without going to orbit, all in the hopes of getting you into the action faster.

Destiny 2 is scheduled to release on September 8 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Make sure to check back in with Twinfinite for more info from Destiny 2’s gameplay reveal.
