Final Fantasy XV’s widespread popularity has catapulted it into the spotlight several times since its release. It just welcomed its brand new DLC Episode Prompto and it’s back in the public eye once more. There’s another reason you might be hearing more about the greatest road trip game of all time as well, however. It’s called Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire, and it’s a mobile game you can download right now.

From the creators of Game of War and Mobile Strike, this new iOS and Android title is an online strategy title where players are asked to create their own kingdoms with bases and armies. The mobile game will take place in Eos, just like the main one, and it’ll even include Noctis and crew, just not in the same capacity as you may be used to.

From the creators of Game of War and Mobile Strike, this new iOS and Android title is an online strategy title where players are asked to create their own kingdoms with bases and armies. The mobile game will take place in Eos, just like the main entry, and it’ll even include Noctis and crew.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like A New Empire does too much to differentiate itself from the various other worldbuilding and time management games out there with timers and other frustrating roadblocks, but if that’s your thing you should have plenty of fun with it. It also looks a little bizarre, what with Noctis’ strange character design, but that’s likely due to the fact that different developers took over for this job.

If you’re jonesing for a taste of more Final Fantasy goodness, you can pick up the game via the App Store or Google Play.
