During the PS5 – The Future of Gaming Show earlier today, we got our first look at Bugsnax. It appears to be a very cute world with adorable little animals as the playable characters.

It also seems to have a bit of a humorous tone carrying throughout the trailer. Of course, you wouldn’t expect anything less from Young Horses, the creators of Octodad. We also got a look at a few bright and bubbly characters as well as some gameplay.

Despite the lighthearted nature of the rest of the trailer, there seems to be an undertone of something dark bubbling underneath the surface. The trailer wrapped up with an ominous look at an amalgamation of discarded food, what will likely be an enemy within the game.

In Bugsnax, you roam around Snaktooth island, which is inhabited by sentient strawberries, hot dogs, hamburgers, and more. There are 100 different species of these Bugsnax for you to discover along with some other mysteries along the way.

You can check out Bugsnax when it releases for the PS5, PS4, and PC Holiday 2020. You can check out the full reveal trailer for Bugsnax below.
