We also get the announcement of Mayhem Mode, which is part of the endgame of Borderlands 3.

As a matter of fact, it’s the “bread and butter” of the endgame according to the developers.

You can pick between Mayhem level 1, 2, and 3. The modes provides a more difficult challenge. Monsters become more difficult, XP rewards are increased, and Stats on the enemies change.

For instance there will be enemies that are almost immune to different elements, and you never know what you’re going to get. It “changes the gameplay experience completely.”

After that, Gearbox announced the first round of additional content, both free and paid.

Some time in the next month or so the developer will launch the Bloody Harvest event, which is completely free.

Around the same time we’re also getting the Maliway Takedown for free, which will include a new map, new enemies, and a new raid boss with “badass loot.”

After that Gearbox will release the first DLC, which will include new campaign content. It will be revealed in a future episode of the Borderlands Show.

Another rather fetching video stars the developers at Gearbox software, extending a heartfelt message to the fans.

In other Borderlands news, Borderlands 2 VR is finally coming to PC in the fall.

You can check out the trailer for that below.

Borderlands 3 will launch on September 13th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It’ll be exclusive to the Epic Games Store for a year on PC.

If you’re interested in the game, you can enjoy our hands-on preview and read about Ice T’s cameo.

You can also enjoy the first trailer that provided a familiar but cinematic look at the game and its characters, a video featuring the EchoCast Twitch extension, plenty of gameplay, another promotional video, and the reveal of the Proving Grounds.

If you’re interested in the game’s characters, you can take a look at Zane, Moze (and her mecha best friend), Amara, and FL4K.

Speaking of Fl4K, our Ed really thinks that you’ll have a lot of friends playing as him.
