Capcom announced it will be releasing Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney to Nintendo 3DS this winter. The title originally debuted on the Nintendo DS in 2008, and its availability on the 3DS means that all six main Ace Attorney series can now be played on that platform.

Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney centers around the young lawyer’s first cases, and features the same forensic investigation gameplay for which the series is famous. Rather than being a simple port though, the 3DS version of the game will offer several welcome new features.

On the 3DS the title will have upgraded visuals, including the ability to examine some objects in 360 degrees to find evidence. You’ll also be able to use the system to dust particular crime scenes for prints.

There are also new dialog and text options. You can now skip through text, which will be ideal for people who have played the game before. You can also switch between the Japanese and English versions of the game at will. Capcom suggests comparing the backgrounds between the two for some cool differences.

You can join Apollo Justice in November as he solves critical cases like noodle cart theft and magic panty disappearances. It won’t cost much either; you can get it on the Nintendo 3DS eShop for $19.99.
