You finally download have Animal Crossing: New Horizons in your hands. You create your custom character and they actually look just like you. Your two new neighbors are surprisingly decent and not rude at all, and the island design that you chose has the perfect water to land ratio –life is good. But then, Tom Nook asks you to choose a name for your island and that’s when everything goes to heck.
Choosing your island name is one of the hardest decisions to make in Animal Crossing games. It’s something that you can’t change and due to the 10-character limit, you don’t have much to work with. When your friends come to visit, they’ll all see the name that you chose and that’s the first impression that they’ll have of your island so it needs to be absolutely flawless.
If you’re having trouble choosing a name for your beautiful deserted island (like I did), there’s a handy dandy island name generator out there for you that was created by Samuel Fine that chooses a wonderful, random island name for you.
Samuel took a list of real-world island names, threw in some names of villagers, bugs, and fish from New Horizons and then asked a computer to mix them all up to create over 10,000 unique deserted island names.
Good luck with naming your island! If you decide to use this island name generator to create a cool island, let us know what you decided on down in the comments below.
