We all know and love the Japanese animation film studio, Studio Ghibli. It holds a special place in each of our hearts. The art style, the color variation, the soundtracks, the well-written characters, and the enchanting stories are some of the many factors that draw fans in. The Secret World of Arrietty is no exception to our love. It’s a beautiful film about four-inch tall people living anonymously inside another family’s home, borrowing occasionally to form their own residence (explaining why they are known as “Borrowers”). Life changes for this tiny family when their daughter, Arrietty, is discovered by the normal-sized Shō. One of the defining features of this film’s aesthetic is the way that the Borrowers live.

This Animal Crossing recreation compliments it very well. Have a look for yourself– isn’t the detail gorgeous?
