The Witness is the upcoming game from developer Jonathan Blow, best known for his hit 2008 game Braid. Originally announced way back in 2009, The Witness has been highly anticipated and has been announced for a PC, PS4, and iOS release. However, it looks like Xbox One gamers will also be able to get their hands on The Witness.
The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) has rated the game not just for the PS4, PC, and iOS, but also for the Xbox One. A release on the Xbox One had never been specified so a lot of Xbox gamers will be pleased to learn that it looks like the game will eventually head to the Xbox One.
The Witness is an open-world game which will challenge players to solve puzzles and mazes in order to learn more about the island they find themselves on. It is inspired by the classic game Myst and will feature the voice artist Ashley Johnson, who is best known for her role as Ellie in Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us.
The Witness is due to be released on January 26 for the PlayStation 4 and PC. It will be released later in the year on iOS and presumably on the Xbox One.
