With so many exciting sights and events to document throughout the city of Yokohama, it’s no surprise that Yakuza Like a Dragon‘s developers included a fairly robust photo mode. How to Use Photo Mode in Yakuza Like a Dragon

To use the photo mode in Yakuza Like a Dragon, you’ll first need to have reached a specific point in the game; namely, when you receive your smartphone and can access its menu.

This occurs automatically early on, and the game will notify you when you have full access to the phone and its tools. Once this occurs, all you need to do is press Up on the D-Pad, and you’ll instantly jump into the game’s photo mode.

From here, you can snap photos of whatever’s in front of you by aiming and pressing the X button on PlayStation console controllers or the A button on Xbox console controllers.

You can also take selfies by pressing L3 or LS to switch the direction the camera’s facing and change Kasuga’s expression by pressing the different directional buttons on the D-Pad.

How to Apply Filters and Decorations

Filters and decorations can also be applied to your photos in Yakuza Like a Dragon. Filters are applied by pressing the Square or X Button, and there are currently four you can choose from: Normal, Sepia, Toy, and Monochrome.

Decorations, meanwhile, include five different options and make all of the people in your photos look sillier. The options available are currently Pig Ears and snouts; Dog ears and snouts; cat ears and noses; monkey ears and noses; and a scary person’s goatee and glasses.

That’s really all there is to it. The game’s photo mode isn’t all that out of the ordinary, but it’ll still provide you with plenty of ways to document your adventures within the series’ latest installment.

Hopefully this cleared up how to use the photo mode in Yakuza Like a Dragon. For more on the game, check out our other guides on topics like how to get Yen fast and how to fast travel.
