Interlinking allows two party members to fuse together, resulting in a more powerful form called Ouroboros which will give them access to Ouroboros artes. Here’s everything you need to know about all Ouroboros forms and what they do in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Ouroboros Forms Explained

Ouroboros are formed when two party members fuse together via interlinking and each have their own powerful movesets, but there’s a twist. Each Ouroboros has two different forms with their own abilities depending on the party member who is considered to be the dominant body. Each character’s Ouroboros form matches their class and there are three Ouroboros pairings in the party.

Noah and Mio

Xenoblade Chronicles 3’s protagonists Noah and Mio are both able to fuse to form an Ouroboros form with vastly different abilities depending on who’s in the driver’s seat.

Noah’s Ouroboros form focuses entirely on offence, dealing massive damage with powerful techniques and arts as well as increasing your chances of landing critical hits.

Mio’s form still packs a punch in its own right and can do some serious damage but there’s a much bigger focus on evasion.

Eunie and Taion

While Noah and Mio’s Ouroboros form focuses on offence, the combination of Eunie and Taion places a much larger focus on status buffs and debuffs.

Eunie’s Ouroboros form takes a far more supportive role with a focus on healing and can provide a major boost in stats for your party.

If you want to be more strategic then Taion’s form can apply status effects to enemies that will help you out if you come across a particularly tough challenge.

Lanz and Sena

Lanz’s Ouroboros form is a powerhouse with a much bigger emphasis on defence and can protect the party from deadly attacks.

Sena’s Ouroboros form on the other hand deals high damage and can be used as a major strategic advantage for your party with its ability to knock down enemies.

How to Access and Switch Ouroboros Forms

When you enter a battle you can press left on the d-pad to interlink and the controlled character will transform into their Ouroboros form. You also have the ability to switch Ouroboros forms mid-battle by pressing up on the d-pad.

You can measure how long the Ouroboros form will remain in effect by keeping an eye on the Ouroboros symbol which will slowly deplete over time. You can earn Soul Points in battle which can be used to upgrade stats for your Ouroboros or learn new stats.

That’s everything we know about all the Ouroboros forms and what they do in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Be sure to check out the rest of our Xenoblade Chronicle 3 coverage and guides.
