Who Is Iono’s Partner Pokémon?

Iono’s partner Pokémon seems to be a Generation 9 Pokémon; her hints that the Electric-type is “squishy,” slow, has “two big ol’ bumps on its noggin” resembling eyes, and it “expands and contracts to generate electricity in its belly” don’t match up well with existing electric types.

Chinchou and Lanturn have lights on their heads that don’t quite resemble eyes, but they could have a regional variant that does. Several restored Pokémon have decoy eyes, like Kabuto, so there’s a small possibility of more electric fossil mons.

Tomorrow Iono’s partner Pokémon will be officially revealed, and it will likely double as a new Pokémon leak. Pokémon has also revealed that Iono is the Levincia city gym leader, and it’s possible that, like Elesa and Nimbasa City that Levincia is important to the Paldea region. Nimbasa City is one of the biggest cities in the Pokémon world and features the battle subway, sports stadiums, and even a Ferris Wheel.

That’s all we have for who gym leader Iono’s partner Pokémon is in Scarlet and Violet. Check out some of our other Pokémon content, like Wiglett’s reveal and new Scarlet and Violet game features.
