There are an absurd number of collectibles to track down in A Plague Tale Requiem, but that should come as no surprise to anyone who has played through A Plague Tale Innocence. Like its predecessor, the sequel features everything from special scenes to cosmetic items that can be equipped to characters for a slight change to their wardrobe. The latter can be particularly tricky to find though, which is why we’re here with a guide on where to find every Herbarium flower in A Plague Tale Requiem.
All Hugo’s Herbarium Flower Locations in A Plague Tale Requiem
There aren’t as many Herbarium Flowers to find in A Plague Tale Requiem as there were in A Plague Tale Innocence, as Hugo’s Herbarium collection is split between Flowers and Feathers.
As a result, there are only five Flowers to track down over the course of the game. To save some time, we’ll only be including the Chapters where you can find Flowers in this guide as opposed to going Chapter by Chapter. In general though, you can expect to have to find these collectibles in the first few segments of the game and then the second to last segment.
Also, it’s worth noting that you don’t need to get every Flower in a single playthrough. You’ll still get every accolade and reward if you have to go back and replay a chapter to find a missed item, so take your time and enjoy the game as much as possible.
Where to Find the Herbarium Flower in Chapter 2
The first of the Herbarium Flowers you can find in A Plague Tale Requiem is a bit of a gimme, as it teaches you to look out for Flowers in the first place.
After clearing the area with the Brazier Lift, head left and continue through the deserted town. Once you reach a door you can interact with, head right through it to reach an abandoned vegetable garden.
Lucas will then run off toward a medicinal plant he spots, which is next to a shovel and a bucket. Go to meet him and interact with the plant to obtain Arrowhead, the first of the five plants you can add to your collection.
Where to Find the Herbarium Plant in Chapter 3 of A Plague Tale Requiem
The Herbarium flower in Chapter 3 of A Plague Tale Requiem, meanwhile, is arguably one of the hardest to find collectibles in the game.
After reaching the Herbalist’s house, head up the hill and toward the tree with the Herbalist’s wife’s body lying next to it. Go to the left side of the tree and look up. You should see a flower pot hanging from one of the branches, with a chain link that you can target with your Sling.
Aim your Sling at the chain link holding up the pot with white flowers in it. Shoot the link, and then go examine the pot of flowers to discover the Chamomile plant. Take solace in the fact that no other Flower will be hidden in this way, and will be much easier to find.
Where to Find the Herbarium Flower in Chapter 4
Next up is the Herbarium Flower located in Chapter 4 of A Plague Tale Requiem, and it’s incredibly easy to find so long as you’re not rushing through the start of the level.
After reaching the docks and having Amicia and Lucas comment about finding a boat, make your way to the right while following the shoreline. This will bring you toward a small, sandy path right along the water.
Follow the path for a bit, and you’ll eventually reach a bunch of purple flowers nestled in-between the shoreline and some brush. Interact with them, and the Gentian will be added to Hugo’s Collection.
Where to Find the Herbarium Flower in Chapter 5 of A Plague Tale Requiem
The Herbarium Flower you’ll need to grab in Chapter 5 of A Plague Tale Requiem isn’t hard to get so much as it is tedious. You’ll need to do quite a few things to reach it, including solving some environmental puzzles.
After first reaching the bridge that Amicia must figure out how to cross on her own, head to the rear side with the push cart. Move the cart toward the closest point where it can allow you to climb up to a higher portion of the bridge.
Don’t climb up onto it yet. instead, head around to the right side of the bridge and look up. You’ll see a chain link that you can shoot with your Sling to lower a walkway.
Shoot the link to lower the walkway, and then climb up onto the cart to reach a higher level of the bridge. Cross the lowered walkway, and then climb up the nearby ledges to your left until you reach an outcropping of earth.
Look for a pink patch of flowers, and then examine them to get the Anemone Herbarium Flower.
Where to Find the Herbarium Flower in Chapter 16
The final Herbarium Flower in A Plague Tale Requiem won’t be obtainable until the climax of the game. It’s also literally impossible to miss as Lucas will run right up to it as the level starts.
Follow him toward where he runs, and you’ll discover a broken pot of flowers lying on the ground. Examine them, and Amicia will comment on how they’re the same flowers Hugo first gave to her at the start of A Plague Tale Innocence.
The Carnation will then be added to your Collection, marking the final Flower off your list.
