How to Upgrade Skater in Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2

What you need to get to upgrade your skater in the game is Stat Points. You’ll find a couple of them dotted throughout most of the levels in the game. They’re collected like other items and SKATE letters, so just skate through them to grab them.

Once you have some, head to the main menu to begin the process of spending them. From then, press R1 if you’re on PS4 (RB on Xbox One) to scroll across to the Skater Tab. There, to get to the upgrades section, press R2/RT to scroll to Stats.

There, you’ll see the screen below, with all the points you already have shown in red/orange. The points you have available will be shown at the bottom of the menu.

To add points to categories, highlight the next empty dot and press right to fill it in, which will use a Stat Point. You can quickly un-do any of your choices by going left again, with the upgrades only being confirmed when you back out from this part of the menu.

The skater upgrades will then be active next time you jump into a level in either game.
