Most of what you’ll be doing in Team Sonic Racing are standard team races with all the typical rules you’d expect, however, the game’s Team Adventure Mode does change things up with some different game types. One of those game types is called Ring Challenge, tasking you with collecting as many rings as possible in a time limit. Here’s how to beat ring challenge in Team Sonic Racing.
How to Beat Ring Challenge in Team Sonic Racing
Ring Challenge pops up every once in a while in Team Adventure Mode, and if you’re looking to collect all those stars you’ll need to beat it. The mode can be surprisingly tough, with a timer that quickly counts down.
The key to beating Ring Challenge is entirely based in drifting, as drifting through rings while you collect them will add on to your timer, and it’s the only way to do so.
You should be trying to drift through each and every ring on the track, even when you’re just collecting a group of four or a few.
You don’t necessarily have to enter a full drift, however, as you can just pull the L2 (LT on Xbox, ZL on Switch) button, enter a quick drift as your car turns, then pop right out of it.
As long as you’re in the drift motion when you pass through rings, you’ll get time added on. Another good idea is to play Ring Challenge with a Technique type racer, as they have the best handling out of everyone.
You can also change out certain parts like tires, if you have ones that increase handling even more.
That’s everything you need to know about how to beat Ring Challenge in Team Sonic Racing. For even more tips, guides, and info on all things Sonic, make sure to search Twinfinite.
