Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, in typical FromSoftware fashion, is filled with various different items, some of which tell you what they do, but many of which don’t. One of those items that you might stumble upon is the Sakura Droplet, so here’s how to get the Sakura Droplet and what it’s used for in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

What the Sakura Droplet Is For

Before we cover how to actually get the Sakura Droplet, it’s important to highlight what an important item it is. The droplet will give you a brand new resurrection charge to use, if you give it to the right person, meaning you’ll be able to resurrect three times instead of two.

Needless to say this can be tremendously useful in a game as difficult as Sekiro, especially if you find yourself struggling against certain bosses.

How to Get It in Sekiro

Actually getting the Sakura Droplet is simple enough, but certainly not easy. You’ll need to beat the Lady Butterfly boss, who you’ll encounter in the Hirata Estate.

Luckily, we’ve got a helpful guide on how to beat Lady Butterfly. Once you’ve beaten the boss, you’ll automatically get the Sakura Droplet.

Where to Use It in Sekiro

Now comes the tricky part, actually using the Sakura Droplet. Basically, you’ll need to give it to one of two characters, Kuro at Ashina Castle or The Divine Child of Rejuvenation. You can give it to either character and it’ll have the exact same effect so just choose whichever is easiest for you.

If you want to give the droplet to Kuro, you’ll first need to talk to Isshin Ashina at Ashina Castle, who’ll talk to you about the Sakura Droplet. After that, you can give the item to Kuro to get another resurrection charge.

To give the item to the Divine Child of Rejuvenation in Sekiro, you’ll first need to get the Mortal Blade, which involves a series of boss fights and areas.

Again, we have a guide on how to get the Mortal Blade, but essentially, you’ll need to first beat Genichiro Ashina, then go to Senpou Temple, then to the Hall of Illusions, and beat the Folding Screen Monkeys boss.

Once you have the Mortal Blade, just talk to the Divine Child of Rejuvenation and you’ll have the option of giving her the Sakura Droplet.

That’s everything you need to know about how to get the Sakura Droplet and what it’s used for in Sekiro. For even more tips, tricks, and info make sure to search Twinfinite, and check out our extensive Sekiro guide wiki.
