Pokemon Go is beginning to release on iOS or Android devices, having released in Australia and New Zealand earlier today. The app is free to download but there is a number of microtransactions that unlock items that help the player catch more Pokemon in the wild.

Pokecoins are the currency in Pokemon Go and you can use them to buy items like Pokeballs and Incense. You begin Pokemon Go with zero Pokecoins but also a healthy amount of basic items. The Pokecoins can be bought in bundles at the following prices:

  • 100 Pokecoins: $0.99
  • 550 Pokecoins: $4.99
  • 1200 Pokecoins: $9.99
  • 2500 Pokecoins: $19.99
  • 5200 Pokecoins: $39.99
  • 14500 Pokecoins: $99.99

The Pokecoins can then be spent on the in-game items. Pokeballs are used to catch Pokemon in the wild, Incense lures Pokemon to your location for 30 minutes, and the Egg Incubator is used to hatch new Pokemon from eggs that can also be purchased. The full list of items and their price in Pokecoins is:

  • 20 Poke Balls: 100 Pokecoins
  • 100 Poke Balls: 460 Pokecoins
  • 200 Poke Balls: 800 Pokecoins
  • Incense: 80 Pokecoins
  • 8 Incense: 500 Pokecoins
  • 25 Incense: 1250 Pokecoins
  • Lucky Egg: 80 Pokecoins
  • 8 Lucky Eggs: 500 Pokecoins
  • 25 Lucky Eggs: 1250 Pokecoins
  • Lure Module: 100 Pokecoins
  • 8 Lure Modules: 680 Pokecoins
  • Egg Incubator: 150 Pokecoins
