When the Overwatch Halloween Terror 2018 Event Start Date Is
Overwatch’s Halloween Terror event is back. And as such, some fans may be wondering when the Overwatch Halloween Terror 2018 event start date is.
As with past Overwatch events, this means that you can grab your self some exclusive cosmetic items. Of course, this event will bring about Halloween-themed skins, voice lines, emotes, victory poses, and sprays.
And yes, this means that Mercy’s awesome Witch skin will be back in circulation.
All of the previous Halloween Terror loot will be returning along with a bunch of brand new unlockables, all of which will only be available to collect while the Overwatch Halloween Terror event is live.
It all sounds pretty good, and luckily, we won’t have to wait until Halloween to get our hands on some Halloween loot boxes, as the Overwatch Halloween Terror 2018 event begins Oct. 9.
From this date, all of the loot boxes that you unlock will be Halloween loot boxes. Any time you open one of these exclusive loot boxes, you are guaranteed one or more event-exclusive pieces of loot.
Just from logging into the game after the event begins, you are treated to one free Halloween loot box. After this, there are a few different ways that you can earn them.
Loot boxes can be earned in-game by increasing your career level and you can earn three a week by winning Arcade matches. There is also the option to buy loot boxes with real money.
As usual, you also have the option to purchase individual items with the in-game currency known as credits. Legendary items can be fairly pricey, so you’ll have to have a large stock of credits in order to gain them through this way. Credits can only be obtained in loot boxes or by gaining duplicate pieces of loot.
New cosmetic modes aren’t the only part of an Overwatch event, there is also the inclusion of a limited-time arcade mode. Blizzard has teased that Junkrat’s alter ego Dr. Junkenstein will be returning this year, but little else is known beyond that.
In last year’s Halloween event, the Arcade mode was a hoard-style mode called Junkenstein’s Revenge. Players were tasked with defeating waves of enemies, including Junkenstein’s Monster (Roadhog), the Reaper (Reaper), the Summoner (Symmetra), the Witch (Mercy), and Junkenstein himself.
That’s everything you need to know regarding the Overwatch Halloween Terror 2018 start date. Looking for more on the game? Then you’ll definitely watch to check out our Overwatch wiki.
