Outer Worlds: Where to Find Ship Storage

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

While your character’s inventory and carry weight never feels like it gets in the way too much during The Outer Worlds, sometimes you do just need an extra space to throw all of the bits and pieces you don’t immediately need when exploring the Halcyon galaxy. Fortunately, your ship — the Unreliable — has some storage you can make use of. Here’s where to find your ship storage in Outer Worlds.

First off, it’s worth noting that there is a bit of a prerequisite before you can access the ‘bin’ on your ship used for storing any odd bits and pieces you’ve been clinging onto.

You’ll need to make sure you’ve completed the first mission on Edgewater, that tasks you with diverting the power to either the Botanical or Edgewater, and then resolving the issues that arise afterwards.

After this, you’ll then be given access to the captain’s quarters on The Unreliable. This can be found directly above where the terminal is that you initially interact with the ship’s AI. To reach this, head out of the room with the ship’s AI and take the flight of stairs up nearby.

This should drop you right by a door you can now open, which will bring you to a room which contains the Holographic Shroud on the table. Just in the corner of this room, is a yellow container.

Walk on over to this container and you’ll then be free to dump any items in your inventory into the ship’s storage. There’s no limit to how much you can store in here, either, so go wild with the whole looting everything you can see thing.

That’s just about everything you need to know on where to find your Outer Worlds ship storage. For more tips, tricks, and guides, search for Twinfinite, give our Outer Worlds guide wiki a click, or check out more of our guides below.
