Completing the Daughter of the Dark God Side Quest in Octopath Traveler

Recommended Videos

Daughter of the Dark God is one of the early game side quests you can attempt in Octopath Traveler. This is one of the two quests in the game that will allow you to unlock the post-game dungeon, alongside In Search of Father. Here’s what you need to know to clear this quest and reap the rewards.

First off, the quest can be started in Bolderfall, right outside the Ravus Manor. You’ll see a guard named Alphas pining for a dark-haired woman named Lyblac nearby. You’ll need either Olberic or H’aanit to Challenge or Provoke the guard, and win the solo duel. Lyblac will say that Alphas isn’t the one she’s looking for, and she’ll move on. Next, go to Saintsbridge in the Riverlands and head over to the bridge to find Alphas. He’s still pining after Lyblac, so have either Alfyn or Cyrus Inquire/Scrutinize him to grab his poem. Head over to the Saintsbridge cathedral in the north, and look for a woman named Flora. Give her the poem, and a cutscene will play, showing Alphas and Flora deciding to start a relationship together. Lyblac will then show up and say that she’s close to finding her soulmate as well.

This is the end of the Daughter of the Dark God side quest. If you’re looking to unlock the post-game dungeon, you’ll also need to complete Kit’s quest, which is titled In Search of Father. You can check out our full guide for unlocking the dungeon right here, along with the steps you need to take.
