Nier Replicant contains a long list of fish that can be caught through its fishing mini-game. A large number of them require players to take specific actions in order to catch the ones that they want. If you’re having trouble obtaining Blue Marlin, we’re here to help. Here’s how to get Blue Marlin in Nier Replicant.
How to Get Blue Marlin in Nier Replicant
To catch Blue Marlin, you’ll need to head over to the Seafront Pier and fish using Sardines as bait. To get Sardines, simply fish on the Seafront beach using Lugworms as bait. Lugworms can be bought from the Seafront bait shop for just 10 gold each.
Once you have Sardines, toss your line in at the pier, right next to the old fisherman. To make sure you get Blue Marlin, you’ll need to reel in the line on the first nibble instead of waiting for the third. If you wait too long, you’ll miss your chance.
Reel in the line by pressing Circle on PlayStation or B on Xbox. Then, pull the left analog stick toward you, in the opposite direction of the ripples in the water. If the ripple’s directly in front of you, pull straight back. If they’re to your right, pull back and to the left slightly.
After finishing the Fisherman’s Gambit quest to catch Blue Marlin, the fish can be purchased from the Fish Shop for 3,800 gold each.
