During your first hour or two with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, you’ll find a number of black chests that you can’t open. You’ll be told that you need to repair BD-1’s Scomp Link to open them up. It’s the same thing with all of those locked doors and terminals. In this guide, we’ll talk about how to repair Scomp Link in Jedi Fallen Order to help you explore more of each planet.

To repair the Scomp Link, you’ll first need to head to Zeffo. This is the second planet that you’ll find yourself on after Bogano. After completing the main objective here in the Tomb of Eilram, you’ll then need to return back to the Mantis.

On your way back, you’ll find yourself in an area called Weathered Monument. It looks like a random, giant building, but you can actually get inside. To do so, you’ll need to head here and then use your Force Push ability on the weak wall, right in front of where all the Stormtroopers were (shown in the screenshot below).

Head inside here and then interact with the workbench to get the Scomp Link ability for BD-1.

Using Scomp Link

To now use BD-1’s Scomp Link and open locked chests, simply walk over to one and press down on the d-pad when the on-screen prompt shows up. BD-1 will then leap onto the chest and hack it, opening it up.

You can also use the ability to hack terminals to activate elevators, open locked doors and more. Be sure to make use of this whenever you can as you’ll open up a bunch of new paths and routes to lead you to more secrets and chests.
