Fortnite Season 6 has finally arrived… or at least is currently in its downtime form while Epic updates the game to version 6.0. Fortnite Season 6 is all about the dark side, and so there’s a creepy castle, plenty of horrifying skins such as a Werewolf, and plenty more. Of course, outside of the visible tweaks and additions that players see in a new season of Fortnite, there are also some changes behind the scenes. Fortnite Season 6 is introducing some new Storm Circle changes that could shake up the way your average game in Fortnite plays out. Here’s what you need to know about Fortnite Season 6 Storm Circle changes.

First and foremost, the Fortnite Season 6 Storm Circle changes only affect Safe Zone 4 and onwards. The initial few storm circles in Fortnite Season 6 will be the same as always.

In its Season 6 patch notes, Epic Games has outlined the main changes. These come in the form of wait time reductions, and shrink time increases. Basically, that means the Fortnite Season 6 Storm Circle changes will mean you’re going to spend less time with the circle stationary and waiting for it to shrink, and more time with it moving around and shrinking down. We’ve listed all of the Fortnite Season 6 Storm Circle changes down below.

All Fortnite Season 6 Storm Circle Changes

  • Safe Zone 4
    • Wait time reduced from 90 seconds to 80 seconds
    • Shrink time increased from 60 seconds to 70 seconds
  • Safe Zone 5
    • Wait time reduced from 90 seconds to 70 seconds
    • Shrink time increased from 40 seconds to 60 seconds
  • Safe Zone 6
    • Wait time reduced from 60 seconds to 30 seconds
    • Shrink time increased from 30 seconds to 60
  • Safe Zone 7
    • Wait time reduced from 45 seconds to 20 seconds
    • Shrink time increased from 25 seconds to 50 seconds
    • Radius increased from 1250 to 1650
  • Safe Zone 8
    • Wait time reduced from 30 seconds to 15 seconds
    • Shrink time increased from 25 seconds to 40 seconds
    • Radius increased from 625 to 1090
  • Safe Zone 9
    • Wait time reduced from 30 seconds to 15 seconds
    • Shrink time increased from 25 seconds to 40 seconds

Epic Games didn’t just leave it there, though. The final thing you need to know regarding the Fortnite Season 6 Storm Circle changes is that moving safe zone circles in the late game will not move 50% further from the previous safe zone. Essentially, this means the storm’s going to have a better chance of eliminating players in the late game.
