How to Beat the King Bomb Boss in Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age

Recommended Videos

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is filled with tough bosses who each have a particular trick to them. One such boss is the King Bomb that you’ll encounter while traveling through the Salikawood later in the game. The King Bomb can be a tough boss if you don’t know how to handle it.

Starting the battle out make sure to put a quick Protect and Shell on your party just for extra defense. The King Bomb will continuously spawn smaller bombs that can cause grief as they attack you and self destruct, causing massive damage and also healing the boss. What you’ll want to do is set up a Gambit with your spellcaster for Foe:any and Silence. Putting Silence on the King Bomb means it can’t use its Call For Help ability, letting you fight it alone and cut off its healing source. Putting the Gambit on makes sure that as soon as Silence wears off your caster will put it right back on.

Of course the boss still has some tough physical attacks so make sure to have a healer in tow and keep protect on. Blizzard and Aqua spells work well to damage the boss, and you can put a Quickening Chain in to bring some massive damage to the King Bomb.
