How to do a Low Driven Finesse Shot in FIFA 19

Since the most recent patch, timed finesse shots from the top of the box are no longer the go to scoring method. FIFA 19 players are now looking for different way to score. Here’s everything you need to know about how to score a low driven finesse shot in FIFA 19.

Low driven finesse shots were very useful in FIFA 18, as all low driven shots were, but they were nerfed for FIFA 19 with the introduction of Timed Finishing.

However, they have now become more useful now than Timed Finesse shots are no longer overpowered and players need to work the ball into the box rather than shoot from just outside of it.

Actually pulling off a low driven finesse shot is pretty tough, though, due to the changes that have been made to the standard low driven input.

It’s very similar to doing a standard timed shot, with you having to press shoot twice, but you have to press more than just circle/B each time.

First, you need to press circle/B plus R1/RB, choosing how much power you want by holding them down for however long you want. Then, just as your player is about to strike the ball, hold down L1/LB too, not letting go of the first two buttons.

Essentially, you’re doing a normal finesse shot, and then a standard low driven shot, but it’s all in one timed finishing style motion.

If you were to watch the inputs on the replay system, you’d see the shot direction indicator aim toward the top corner for the first input, like it should for a finesse shot, and then when you press the second set of buttons, the indicator will go flat to the floor, without forgetting the first input.

It should see the ball curve along the ground into the bottom corner, just out of the keeper’s reach. Be prepared to practice in squad battles or the arena, though, because it’s not very easy to pull off.
