Final Fantasy XIV’s newest large-scale battle content, Bozja Southern Front, has arrived and players are able to jump into the wide-open instance area to begin taking the fight to the imperials on behalf of the Bozjans. If you’re here, you’re probably a bit confused about Forgotten Fragments, a key currency that you’ll need lots of and at least one of in order to progress in the tutorial quest. Here’s how to get Forgotten Fragments in FFXIV’s Bozja Southern Front event.
How to Get Forgotten Fragments in FFXIV Bozja
Despite Bozja being quite different from its cousin, Eureka, from Stormblood, Forgotten Fragments are arguably the most familiar feature that was carried over.
The Forgotten Fragments, when obtained, can be given to the Resistance Appraiser to decode them into Lost Actions. Lost Actions function almost identically to Logos Actions, which give players access to special abilities, spells, and items that are only usable inside Bozja.
Forgotten Fragments are obtained in a number of ways. They are occasionally rewards from Skirmishes, Critical Engagements, and quests within Bozja.
The first two are public events, so you’ll want to be quick to get over to any live events going on the map and to sign up via Resistance Recruitment. Fortunately, you can mount up in Bozja, so there’s no need to worry about having to trek across dangerous territory this time,
You can also rarely find them just from killing random monsters outside in the open. If you’re waiting around for a Skirmish or Critical Engagement to spawn, it doesn’t hurt to just kill some stuff around you.
Finally, you can also just buy them from the market board if you want. However, the prices may be expensive right now, especially before the knowledge on how to get them are widely spread. Just make sure to carefully check around prices first before just buying the first Forgotten Fragment you find.
