Bungie’s 30th Anniversary has arrived, and given the developer is now solely focused on its looter shooter, Destiny 2 there’s a lot going on in the game right now. Alongside a number of new cosmetics and things to do, there’s also a whole host of new weapons, including some inspired by Bungie’s former arena shooter and now Microsoft’s epic exclusive, Halo. In this guide, we’ll be talking you through how to get the BxR-55 Battler in Destiny 2.
Now, if the name hadn’t given it away, the BxR-55 Battler is essentially Halo’s Battle Rifle, but suitably adjusted to make it feel right at home in the sci-fi world of Halo. Given its prowess in Halo’s multiplayer, chances are you’ll want to get your hands on the BxR-55 Battler in Destiny 2, too.
Getting the BxR-55 Battler in Destiny 2
To get the BxR-55 Battler, you need to open the treasure chest in front of Xur in his new Treasure Hoard location. You can reach Xur by visiting Eternity from your Director.
Of course, you can’t just go and open the treasure chest as many times as you want. You’ll also need a treasure key to open the chest.
It’s worth pointing out that you’re not guaranteed the BxR-55 Battler in Destiny 2 from Xur’s treasure chest. Instead, you have a chance of getting one of a selection of 30th anniversary weapons. If you don’t get it the first time, just keep trying.
Getting Keys for Xur’s Treasure Chests
Treasure chest keys are obtained by completing the new ‘Dares of Eternity’ event that’s gone live as part of the 30th anniversary festivities.
The Dares of Eternity event can be started by selecting ‘Eternity’ from your Director again. It can be found just underneath the moon. When you’ve selected this, just choose the Dares of Eternity option to load it up.
Dares of Eternity tasks players with taking down hoards of enemies and completing challenges to fill a progress bar. Once this has filled, they’ll take on the final boss, which will then reward you with a treasure chest key you can take over to Xur.
BxR-55 Battler PvP God Roll

- Magazine: Accurized Rounds or Ricochet Rounds.
