Developers have closely monitored Elden Ring and feedback from players. The latest patch has some minor adjustments and more significant changes reflecting this feedback. Here’s everything you need on the biggest changes in Elden Ring Patch notes 1.07.
PvP Damage Scaling Changes in Elden Ring Patch 1.07
The most significant change in the new patch is separating PvP and campaign damage scaling, meaning that overpowered weapons necessary for winning boss battles won’t ruin the competitive metagame. This change should go a long way toward keeping fans of both game modes happy. Ashes of War was nerfed only in PvP—a smart move by FromSoftware to use their new balancing power.
Weapon and Magic Changes in Elden Ring Patch 1.07
Here are some other changes in 1.07 that affect both game modes:
- Improved poise damage from two-handed normal attacks and for Hammers and Great Hammers. If you haven’t tried Elden Ring Hammers, now’s the best time to start
- A buff for Greatshield Talisman and Hammer Talisman
- A speed increase for some Colossal Sword and Colossal Weapon attacks
- The Fingerprint Stone Shield has been nerfed
- Status buildup happens more slowly with dual wielded weapons.
A few spells now have increased power:
- Glintstone Pebble and Stars
- Shard Spiral
- Magma Shot
- Bloodboon
- Lightning Spear (when charged)
- Flame Sling (when charged)
That’s everything we have for the biggest changes in the new Elden Ring patch. Check out some of our other Elden Ring content like is there a DLC coming, the Somber Smithing Stone location, and is Elden Ring game of the year.
