Once you’ve completed the introductory segment, which takes place in Norway, you’ll get access to your longship as Eivor and the Vikings begin their travels to England, where most of the game takes place.

In England, you’ll soon be prompted to begin looking after a Settlement of your own, where you’re able to sell things and upgrade various merchants, including your Dockyard.

To get the ability to customize and upgrade your longship, you need to upgrade your Dockyard, which costs 600 Supplies and 45 Raw Materials, and then speak to the Ship Builder there.
