Every day, you’ll be able to purchase random pieces of furniture from the Nook’s Cranny store. However, it’s also possible to purchase additional items from the Nook Shopping selection at the Nook Stop terminal in Resident Services. The selection rotates daily, but you’ll always get the same few items. That being said, once you upgrade the Resident Services building, you can start browsing the special catalog to re-purchase items that you’ve had in your inventory before.
There is a drawback to this: you can only purchase five items per day, and they’ll be mailed to your home the very next day.
However, if you make 100 purchases via Nook Shopping, you’ll unlock the Nook Shopping app on your Nook Phone. This allows you to access the special catalog from your phone without having to go to the Nook Stop terminal.
You’ll still be limited to five purchases a day, but at least you can now browse it wherever you are on the island, making it much more convenient to check your catalog quickly without having to run all the way over to the main square each time you want to do so.
