It’s the beginning of a new month in the world of Animal Crossing: New Horizons and we’re getting towards the end of the summer. As the days get a little shorter in August, there are a whole bunch of new August bugs and fish you can catch in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Just because they can be caught, doesn’t mean they’ll be easy to track down though. Here, we’ve got the complete list of both bugs and fish you can now catch in August.

As has been the case for most of the summer, the northern hemisphere gets more new bugs and fish to catch in August. The southern hemisphere is limited to just one new creature in the cold month of the year.

New August Bugs You Can Catch in Animal Crossing New Horizons

There are three new bugs that can be caught starting in August in Animal Crossing New Horizons, all of which are in the Northern Hemisphere. We’ve listed them all below.

New August Fish You Can Catch

When it comes to fish, there are only five new arrivals that can now be caught in different areas around your island. Four of them are in the northern hemisphere (including one sea creature) and we’ve listed them below, starting with those in the north.
