What’s New in Fall Guys Season 2? Everything You Need to Know

New Rounds

Fall Guys Season 2 - Hoopsie Legend

The biggest feature that most people will be excited about in Fall Guys Season 2 is the addition of four new rounds. Hoopsie Legend is a solo-player take on Hoopsie Daisy. No teams are required this time around, which means that you’ll have to work even harder to make sure that you end up qualified for the next round.

Knight Fever is also new gauntlet stage that has you racing towards the finish line but, of course, there are tons of obstacles in the way for players to overcome.

There’s a new egg-collecting round called Egg Siege, and thanks to the elements added here, it makes the Egg Scramble level seem like a breezy afternoon picnic.

Going with the medieval theme for Season 2, there are moving drawbridges, axes, and other troublesome obstacles to knock you off your feet. I personally do not like any of the older Egg-based rounds, but this one seems way more tactical, messy, and outrageous –sign me up!

And last but not least, we have one called Wall Guys, which will test your cooperation with fellow combatants. Will you work together to create a staircase to victory or will you choose to push everyone out of the way to get to the top by yourself? Whatever you decide to do, just make sure to not fall off the platforms.

New Show Selector

Fall Guys Season 2 - Wall Guys

Fall Guys’ Season 2 update comes with a new show selector option that allows players to pick between different types of shows. So basically, if you want to play a couple of rounds that are strictly gauntlets or just survival showdowns, you can do just that.

Depending on your mood and how you want to play Fall Guys, you can easily filter out the game modes that just aren’t for you. Any sort of feature that can remove those egg minigames from Fall Guys sounds great to me!

New Costumes

When it comes down to it, Fall Guys is basically half game show and half fashion show. Many players seem to be obsessed with getting the rarer costumes, and if you don’t look good while competing, then what’s the point of even playing, am I right?

With the new update comes plenty of new medieval-themed costumes for players to unlock. You have dragons, knights, wizards, witches, and plenty more to check out. There will also be more costumes revealed at a later date that will feature even more gaming collaborations, similar to the Enter the Gungeon and Team Fortress crossovers in Season 1.

Quality-of-Life Changes

And to wrap up the big update, Mediatonic has heard the cries from fans and has added some small but essential changes to the game. There are additional controller options for PS4 players, a random outfit generator for those who can’t decide what to wear, some visual upgrades to make the game even prettier, and there are also new Nameplates and Banners to compliment your costumes.

Fall Guys is now available on PC and PS4. You can read our review here to check out our thoughts on the new battle royale party game.
