Dragon Age, Knights of the Old Republic Writer Leaving Bioware after 17 Years

No bueno.
This article is over 8 years old and may contain outdated information

If you’re a Bioware fan, you’re more than likely aware of David Gaider. He’s been designing games for the Canadian studio since the release of Baldur’s Gate 2 in 1999. Since then, Gaider has designed and written for Neverwinter Knights, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Dragon Age Origins and its sequels. Without him, there likely wouldn’t be an HK-47 Zevran, Cassandra, or Fenris for fans to fall in love with, or at least not in the way we’ve come to know and love. Today, Gaider announced that he’ll no longer be a part of Bioware.

Gaider hasn’t given up details on why, nor has anyone else at Bioware so far. Even though he’s no longer employed there, he’s currently penned to write another book for the studio’s Dragon Age series, which currently has an unannounced title and release date. We wish Gaider the best during this time.
