343 Industries Will Be Announcing Something at E3 this Year, But Don’t Expect Halo 6

Possibly a new IP?
This article is over 7 years old and may contain outdated information

343 Industries will be showing up at E3 this year, and they will have something to announce at the event, possibly Halo-related. However, if you’re hoping to see the next numbered entry in the popular franchise, the developers have come out to say that that won’t be happening.

Over on Reddit, 343 Industries community manager Brian Jarrard was quick to shut down rumors and speculation about a possible announcement of the next big Halo game:

‘I’ll slip into my Dreamcrusher persona for a minute in the name of realistic expectations: We’ve said this already but we’ll have a little something at E3 but it’s not related to the next major entry in the franchise.’

Still, that begs the question: what are we going to see at Microsoft’s press conference this year then, if it’s not more Halo? We already know that Microsoft plans to unveil the Scorpio in all its fully glory, but it’s going to take a lot more than just powerful hardware to convince players to buy their shiny new toy.

We’ll keep you updated as more info comes our way.
