Coinciding with the new official release date is a freshly cut trailer showcasing the bizarre photography-cum-detective experience. Go ahead and check out said video down below:

As you can see, not all is as it seems in the rural town of Rainy Woods. From folks turning into cats and dogs to a peculiar murder mystery, there appears to be a lot going on in Swery65’s weird and wonderful RPG-life sim hybrid.

One thing that jumps out from this new footage is how much time you’ll be spending exploring the strange smalltown as a feline or doggo. Indeed, much of the trailer is dedicated to this unique gameplay mechanic which bodes well for all you animal lovers out there. Plus, did we mention that you get to ride a sheep? Yep, this is very much a Swery65 game, right?

For more information about the game, here’s the general overview courtesy of an official press release that we received today:

The Good Life is a captivating adventure game in which you play as Naomi, a New York-based photographer who has just arrived in the small British town of Rainy Woods with a specific job at hand – to discover the truth behind this place known as the “happiest town in the world”. Race against the clock tracing multiple leads and solve mysteries as a human, a cat, or a dog! Getting to the bottom of this mystery will require you to cook, eat, sleep, shop, farm, and explore the town, taking on photography jobs and other more “unconventional” quests.

The Good Life purrs its way to PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC on Oct. 15. In the meantime, what say you? Are you excited for Swery65’s upcoming game? Or is it a hard pass from you? Grab your cameras and let us know in the usual place down below.
