How to Get Blue Pikmin in Pikmin 3 Deluxe

Having Blue Pikmin in your party is essential to solving any water-related puzzles and is something that is required in order to progress through the main story of Pikmin 3 Deluxe.

You will spot the Blue Pikmin ship stuck in the water in the first level of the game, the Garden of Hope, but you will not be able to pluck it out of the water until you acquire the pink Flying Pikmin, which doesn’t happen until you complete a few missions.

First, you need to have beaten the Distant Tundra boss, the Tropical Wilds boss, and then finally the Twilight River area. This is where you’ll come into contact with the Flying Pikmin and then the story will eventually bring you back to the Garden of Hope, allowing you to use the newly found Pikmin to pull the Blue Pikmin base out of the water.
