Square Enix has released another video of a series showcasing its upcoming train simulator Densha de GO!! Hashirou Yamanote-sen.

The series challenged well-known developers to do their best to nail the stop at two stations on the iconic Yamanote Line.

To conclude the series, we get to see perhaps Square Enix’s most popular developer, Final Fantasy XIV director and producer and Final Fantasy XVI producer Naoki Yoshida.

Yoshida-san does fairly well at Kanda Station, missing the stop by only 23 cm. Unfortunately, things go less smoothly at the familiar Akihabara Station, where our beloved Yoshi-P comes in way too slow, stopping nearly one-meter short and 26 seconds late to boot.

This means that the winner of this friendly competition is Final Fantasy Brave Exvius series producer Kei Hirono, who absolutely nailed a stop with a masterful 0.2 cm margin.

If you’re wondering, the main point of the game is to manage power and brakes in order to get as close as possible to the ideal stopping point at each station, without running late at the same time. It may sound easy, but I guarantee it takes a lot more finesse than it may look like.

At the moment, Densha de GO!! Hashirou Yamanote-sen has been announced only for Japan and it launched for PS4 on December 3, 2020 and will come for Switch at a later date. If you want to see more, you can check out plenty of gameplay from a few weeks ago

A western release has not been announced, and it may be unlikely. Yet, a man can dream.
