With the video game industry marching towards the start of a new console generation, emotions over exclusivity and which console is “better” is running higher than normal. Thus, this new Marvel’s Avengers trailer from PlayStation showcasing the platform’s unique perks is sure to cause a bit of a stir.
In any event though, let’s break down what PlayStation 4 version of Marvel’s Avengers will get exclusive access to:
- Spider-man DLC character and content in 2021
- Community challenges that exclusive until Sept. 2021
- 30 days early access to purchasable legendary outfits as they release
- Seven day early access to the beta
If you’re a PlayStation fan that’s good news, and if you’re not, it might be a bit of a bummer. The Spider-man exclusive DLC definitely hurts, and having to wait a year for whatever those community challenges are is a bummer too. Oh and I guess if you’re in a mad rush to give Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix money for legendary outfits then sure that’s good too.
I imagine most fans will get over not being able to play the beta early over time at least.
You can check out the trailer below. Marvel’s Avengers will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on Sept. 4 and next-gen versions of those same consoles at some point as well.
