If you couldn’t get enough of the gory heart-pounding action of Blasphemous, then we have some good news for you. Earlier today, Team 17 released the announcement trailer for Blasphemous: The Stir of Dawn, the first free DLC for the hack-n-slash title.
For those who have already mastered the game, you’ll be able to try out an even more grueling challenge in New Game +. And if you’re looking for more lore, then you’re in luck too since The Stir of Dawn is also adding some brand-new story content. With brand-new story elements comes new maps and areas to explore.
And of course, all of it is just as grotesque and challenging as you would expect from Blasphemous. And yet another challenge added is the option to choose one Penitence out of four different options.
We haven’t seen all the details on each one, but it seems that they all carry simultaneous pros and cons. For example, you can sacrifice physical strength with your sword to increase your mental strength and give you unlimited fervor.
You’ll be able to download Blasphemous: The Stir of Dawn on August 4 for PS4, PC, Switch, and Xbox One.
