How to Reach Class 4 in Trials of Mana

Though you’ll be able to see the Class 4 slot while changing classes throughout Trials of Mana’s main game, you won’t be able to unlock it until you’ve beaten the game at least once and reached the post-game content.

This is because the items needed to unlock the fourth Class Change can only be obtained through each character’s post-game quest, which trigger automatically once you load up a cleared game’s save file.

Following a brief cutscene, you’ll need to return to the towns your party members came from and complete special tasks for their respective family members, kings and so forth, and defeat a secret boss tied to each of these quests.

Though difficult, none of them should be too hard for you to overcome so long as you’ve practiced playing as each of the characters in your party and know how to properly use each of their Class Strikes.

After you defeat each of said bosses, you’ll be given a Sphere item which can then be used at the Goddess Statue in the Sanctuary of Mana to change to Class 4.

Time needed: 20 hours

So, to recap how to reach Class 4 in Trials of Mana:

  1. Complete the main game at least once

The quests tied to reaching Class 4 are part of the post-game content, which triggers automatically after you load up a cleared game’s save file.

  2. Return to the home towns of your party members

The family members, kings and so forth tied to each character will give you a post-game quest which, upon completion, will give you a Sphere item which you can use to reach Class 4.

  3. Go to the Goddess Statue in the Sanctuary of Mana

Interact with the statue and select the Change Class Option. The fourth Class Change should be selectable so long as the Sphere for each corresponding character is in your party.
