We hear that the goal is to deliver an “authentic and deep Diablo experience” on mobile.

The publisher has begun internal playtest and the results are “encouraging.” They’re getting ready to move to the next phase of development with some regional alpha testing later this year (in the middle of 2020).

Player feedback is considered “invaluable” and as the developers continue building the game they’ll be looking to that feedback to make sure that they’re making a really great Diablo experience.

That being said, the roots of the franchise are in PC gaming and Blizzard will continue to be “deeply committed” to the PC.

Yet, they do think that there are opportunities for additional experiences and different ways for players to engage, on different types of devices. Mobile games are also a way to attract players that currently cannot be reached on PC and console.

Blizzard also continues to work on “multiple mobile initiatives” in addition to the PC and console games.

Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality), MMORPGs, and visual novels are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans on Earth of the flight simulator genre.
