Jedi Fallen Order: Can You Skip Cutscenes? Answered

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has finally been released to the public, and for the first time in years, it offers fans a single-player, story-focused experience. If you’re like some players though, you’re probably more interested in the gameplay than the story, resulting in the question: Can you skip cutscenes?

Well, for better or worse, we’ve got an answer for you.

Can You Skip Cutscenes in Jedi Fallen Order? Answered

As it stands, you cannot skip any of the cutscenes in Star Wars Fallen Order. Every cinematic, from the first scene introducing protagonist Cal Kestis to the one which shows the climactic conclusion to the game’s narrative, needs to be watched in its entirety from start to finish.

It’s a bit of a bummer for those who prefer non-stop action and speedy playthroughs, but also not surprising given the game’s design. As mentioned above, this is the first single-player, story-focused Star Wars game released in many years.

As such, it’s understandable developer Respawn Entertainment would want to make sure players can view the story they crafted without the risk of interruption, albeit to the chagrin of those who only care about the gameplay.

Will the Option to Skip Cutscenes Be Added in Later?

As for whether Jedi Fallen Order might see a skip function added in later, it’s not out of the realm of possibility.

Many games in the past have seen the option to skip cutscenes added in after the fact, though it typically took some time for it to be added in as an update or as a feature available in a new addition.

As such, there is the chance the feature will come to Fallen Order somewhere along the line, though it’s anyone’s guess when that will be.
