Today Arc System Works hosted a livestream showing the first gameplay of the new Guilty Gear game.
The gameplay provided a look at the controls of the game on PS4, which is the first confirmed platform for the game.
This demo will be playable at ArcRevo America 2010, and interestingly, button settings appear to be fully customizable.
We get to see a series of matches between Sol Badguy, Ky Kiske, May, Axl Low, and the newly-revealed Chipp Zanuff and Potemkin. The game is looking really, really good.
The livestream featured a message from game director Daisuke Ishiwatari, who mentioned that the final game will include both Japanese and English voice overs, and that more characters will be revealed going forward.
During the livestream we also hear that the team is aware that fans would like GGPO rollback netcode implemented in the game.
This is only the first form of the game, and many things could change after Arc System Works receive feedback from ArcRevo.
Lastly, they mentioned that a closed beta test will be hosted on PS4 around the spring of 2020.
At the moment, we don’t know the platforms for this new Guilty Gear game besides PS4, but we know it’s coming in 2020.
If you want to see more, you can also check out the original announcement from EVO 2019, an earlier trailer showcasing Sol Badguy and Ky Kiske, and teasing May. Another trailer revealed Axl Low, and one more showcased more of his gameplay.
The latest iteration of Guilty Gear is dated 2017, with Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2.
ArcRevo America 2019 will be hosted on November 16 and November 17 in Irvine, California.
