RAD, Double Fine’s latest offering to gaming, is finally here, but if you’re worried about squeezing it onto a packed HDD then you’re probably wondering what the install size is for the game.
Fortunately, we’ve got the answer.
What the Install Size Is for RAD
Coming in at a decently sized 7.77 gigabytes, RAD is just a tad larger than most other indie titles on the market by about 2-3 GB.
This is also considerably bigger than the Binding of Isaac, which the game shares several traits with from its gameplay and level design to its roguelike elements.
Of course, this is understandable when one realizes the game takes these elements and translates them into a 3D experience, albeit with a top-down isometric view of the action.
RAD also runs fairly consistently, so it’s no surprise the game would need to take up more data to ensure its stability.
How Long RAD Will Take to Download
Fortunately, this doesn’t translate into too long a download time. You should see RAD fully downloaded in about 20 minutes with a standard internet connection.
This can vary by anywhere between 5 and 15 minutes based on your internet connection, but shouldn’t exceed an hour unless there’s some serious traffic coming through PlayStation Network at the time of the download.
As such, you should be able to dive into the randomized, ’80s-tastic madness of the game sooner rather than later, bashing and smashing mutated enemies to your heart’s content.
This should give you everything you needed to know about what the install time is for RAD. The game is currently available digitally on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, the Nintendo Switch and PC.
