Nintendo still isn’t done with those adorable little amiibo figures, as the latest one to join the family is the plastic-y Link from the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening on Switch.
The little figure was officially revealed during Nintendo’s Treehouse Live presentation, which kicked off right after their E3 Direct presentation. The amiibo has a super bright sheen to it, fitting of the cartoony art style in the game. You can see it just below, and a new trailer for Link’s Awakening down at the very bottom.
There’s no word yet on what the amiibo might do in the game, but it is set to launch alongside the game on September 20. Alongside the Link’s Awakening amiibo, Nintendo also showed off some of the new Smash Bros. figures including Chrom, Dark Samus, and Incineroar.
Make sure to stick with Twinfinite for even more on Nintendo and Link’s Awakening, as we’ll have more on the game in the coming days.
There’s a ton of other new Nintendo shared during their Direct, including quite a bit of Zelda news. Cadence of Hyrule releases later this week on June 13, and the bombshell announcement of the day is the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
